Sorna Sandhanakumar Novels began in 2016 as a quiet corner on the internet for Tamil stories — the kind meant to be read slowly, at night, with a cup of tea going cold beside you.

What started as a handful of short pieces shared with friends grew into a home for full-length serialized novels: family sagas, quiet tragedies, love stories that take their time, and the occasional mystery to keep you up past midnight. Every story here is written in Tamil first — the language these stories were always meant to be told in — because some feelings simply don’t survive translation.

Why we write

Tamil storytelling has always lived in the everyday — in the way grandmothers told stories after dinner, in letters, in songs half-remembered. This site is an attempt to keep that tradition alive in a new format, one chapter at a time.
